Who is The Netknucklehead?
My name is Randal and I used to be a computer programmer, a project manager, an IT manager and an Assistant Director. Notice the nice progression of my Information Technology career – from programmer to Assistant Director. But something happened to end that nice little run – my Assistant Director position was eliminated in 2003.My Story
That job elimination was the first lay-off or job-cut I had experienced. Honestly, I hated that position and that company with a passion but my self-confidence still took a hit and left me questioning my abilities and my future.
It was the beginning of 2004 and I needed a job fast. I had a mortgage to pay and three other mouths to feed at home. I applied for every IT job I was remotely qualified for. It was a tense time to say the least.
Finally, I managed to land a consulting gig at a large bank. Six months later the client company hired me on as an employee. My salary had taken a large hit from my Assistant Director days but honestly, I didn’t mind because I no longer had to deal with all the management headaches.
A Lesson Learned
I learned a lot during this stressful period. I learned that corporate jobs are not a given and job-cuts really could happen to me. And I learned that everyone needs a backup plan for when the job-cuts occur. It was then that I decided to get serious about making money on the Internet.
Today, I still work for that employer who bailed me out in 2004 and I am making real money online. No, I haven’t been able to replace my salary (and benefits) yet but I’m still working toward it and I still believe I will get there.
My Projects
This blog is a journal (and a journey) of not only my efforts to earn money online, but also my life lessons and experiences. I will share my thoughts, experiences, and lessons (both sucky and awesome ones) with you, the readers. I love to teach and coach and see others succeed in life, love and business.

P.S. Here is a free life lesson for you from my Assistant Director days – If you suspect one of your slimy employees of stealing company equipment, keep an eye on them because they probably are stealing. (In this case, they were selling stuff on eBay.)
