I ended part one of my review / case study of “My Online Income System” (MOIS) by Kim Hoffman at the point where I first went into the MOIS site. Today, we take a closer look at the insides of the site and give you an update on where I am with this money-making system.
As I mentioned previously and as shown in the screenshot here, the site is laid out well and the color scheme works. The right-hand menu includes options for:
- Start Here
- Action Plan
- Niche Products
- Videos
- Recommended
MOIS Menu Links
“Start Here” contains links to what you’d expect such as Welcome, Getting Started, the MOIS ebook, the forum, and support. I think it’s important (obviously) to read the ebook to get an idea of the approach and objectives of the system.
The real ‘meat’ of MOIS is under the Action Plan link. Here, you are presented with an action plan index and 11 days worth of daily action plans. Click day #1 and you are presented with:
- Background information on what you’ll be doing on this particular day.
- Individual steps you’ll be following. Both written and video material is included for you.
- A video review of the day.
The action plan section is one of the best I’ve seen on the Internet. It’s straightforward, it’s simple, and it’s thorough. Plus, it’s in bite-size chunks so you don’t get overwhelmed. Kudos to Kim and gang for getting this right!
The Niche Products menu option leads you to a group of PLR products that you can use to get your first MOIS site up. At the time of this writing, there are 11 products available. I assume more will be added but I don’t know that for certain.
The Videos menu option provides a list of training videos, currently a total of six, which is a little light in my opinion. Topics are pretty high-level such as how to download the product, using the HTML editor, setting up PayDotcom, etc.
The Recommended menu option doesn’t really provide anything useful. I think it’s there to basically make more money by recommending certain products.
The MOIS(2) Approach
First, let me clear up what might be an area of confusion. That is, what is the difference in MOIS and MOIS2?
MOIS, the original product, is focused on making money by selling other people’s products and earning a commission. Clickbank products are the main focus.
MOIS2, the newly revised product, teaches you how to sell your OWN product. They recommend you use one of the included PLR products as a starting point. And, they recommend your first website be in the ‘making money’ category because MOIS includes some backend stuff that could generate more sales for you.
Make sense?
The System – It Ain’t Rocket Science
I know most people are looking for the holy grail for making money on the Internet. They want quick, easy, automated and they only have 1-2 hours at most to work on it.
Folks, it don’t exist!
And MOIS isn’t quick, easy, or automated either. But it is based on sound principles. Principles that you probably already know.
But MOIS2 varies a little in that you will be using one their PLR products as a starting point. Here are the basic steps in MOIS2:
- Find a niche.
- Get a domain name.
- Get a hosting account.
- Download a PLR website to revise.
- Download the ebook to revise.
- Sign up for Google Analytics.
- Sign up for Aweber.
- Upload website.
- Set up PayDotCom account.
- Set up payment process.
- Set up Google Adwords (optional)
My MOIS Product
I find that I often vary a bit from the instructions when I acquire or sign up for a new product / service / system. My thinking is that I don’t want to follow the 1000s of other sheep in front of me. To be honest, this thinking probably has led to a lot of failed experiments.
With MOIS, I decided to follow the instructions exactly as laid out. I downloaded one of the ‘make money’ PLR products and revised it quite a bit. I also changed all the graphics on the website and the ebook. I wanted this product to be unique, at least in the eyes of the search engines.
Here is what came out at the end: Quick Cash For Difficult Times
I am quite pleased with the outcome. The site was launched about 4 days ago so no sales yet. I am in the process of promoting the site using various methods. I’ve added a blog to the site and have been using Firepow, which I will be talking more about in the future, to update it. I’ve also been running a Yahoo ad campaign.
I will continue to provide updates regarding my MOIS progress.
My Recommendation
Overall, I was impressed with “My Online Income System”, especially considering I got it for something around $20. I feel I can safely recommend MOIS to anyone who has beginner to medium Internet knowledge looking for a viable way to make money online.

WHAT can on expect to spend for all those items you listed in MOIS2? (11 items listed)
Hi Russ,
You ask a good question because so many “systems” out there lure you with a low entry price. It’s only after you’ve bought their product that you learn you need to buy additional products or services in order to make ‘real money’.
Here is a breakdown of the costs associated with the 11 times mentioned in my post:
1. Find a niche. Zero cost. There are several free methods for finding a niche. For example: Amazon best sellers, Google Trends, eBay Pulse, or hot discussion topics in forums. Of course you need keywords after you’ve identified a niche. For that, you can use Google’s free Adwords keyword tool, Wordtracker’s free keyword tool, or find out what similar sites are using via a tool such as Spyfu.com.
2. Get a domain name. Estimated cost is $7 to $9. The last .com domain I purchased, I got it for around $7.00 at Godaddy by using a coupon code (“slam30″). Not sure if that coupon code has expired yet or not.
3. Get a hosting account. Estimated cost is $5 per month. I definitely recommend Hostgator. Or you could get a reseller account for around $25 per month and host unlimited sites. This is the way to go if you think you’ll be created many sites.
4. Download a PLR website to revise. Zero cost. This is included in MOIS2. However, if you prefer getting your own PLR website, send me an email. I can probably get you one at a very reasonable price (less than $20).
5. Download the ebook to revise. Zero cost.
6. Sign up for Google Analytics. Zero cost.
7. Sign up for Aweber. $19 per month or $193.80 per year.
8. Upload website. Zero cost. Use the free Filezilla software.
9. Set up PayDotCom account. Zero cost.
10. Set up payment process. Zero cost.
11. Set up Google Adwords (optional). Depends on how much you want to spend per day to advertise your site using Adwords.
So, the cost for one site is approximately $31 assuming you don’t use Adwords. That includes the $19 monthly Aweber charge.
Please post another comment or email me (see Contact Me page) if you have other questions.
Thanks and best of luck!

P.S. If you decide to buy MOIS2, first, remember to use the ‘exit off the page strategy’ to lower your purchase price, and secondly, I’d appreciate it if you used my affiliate link —–> MY ONLINE INCOME SYSTEM
“My Online Income System” product update as of March 25th:
Still no sales from my MOIS-inspired product, “Quick Cash for Difficult Times”. Yahoo stopped my ad campaign due to it reaching its daily spend limit 5 times in 30 days. Whatever. I went ahead and paused it.
I have about 12 other sites that I am using to push organic search engine traffic to the “Quick Cash” site so hopefully those will bring in some additional eyeballs.
The site was launched on March 14th and has received a total of 101 unique visitors.
The article I recently wrote for Article Dashboard still hasn’t been approved and published. It’s ridiculous it is taking this long to publish but not much I can do about it.
That’s all for now!

“My Online Income System” product update as of March 30th:
Five days have passed since my last update and still no sales from my MOIS-inspired product, “Quick Cash for Difficult Times”. The site is getting a decent amount of traffic but the sales are just not there for this type of product, I guess.
The site was launched on March 14th and has received a total of 177 unique visitors and 324 total visitors. It has 12 pages indexed, including the blog pages.
It appears the article I wrote for Article Dashboard is now published. I’ll have to see if it results in any backlinks or not.
Keeping my fingers crossed!

“My Online Income System” product update as of May 13th:
The site I created as part of the MOIS course never produced any sales and I have since taken it down. I still believe the principles behind MOIS are sound but it will require a fair amount of dedicated effort to make them work.
