Truth – Making Money Online Is Not That Difficult

Making Money Online Can Be FrustratingThe truth is, that making money online is really not that difficult. I mean it really comes down to just four simple steps:

  1. Choose a topic or niche.
    -
  2. Identify the keywords associated with that topic or niche.
    -
  3. Create a website using the identified keywords.
    -
  4. Drive traffic to the site by backlinking and getting your site indexed high in the search engines.

That’s it! Simple, right?

So why do you think most people are still struggling to make money online?

In my opinion, it is due to one or all of the following reasons:

  1. Internet A.D.D. – People are not able to maintain focus long enough to see things through to the end. They’re jumping to the next hottest tool, method, guru, etc. before they ever get to the making money step. Then, they complain that the last method, tool, guru, etc. doesn’t really work because they never made any money.
    -
  2. Lack of Patience – This is somewhat similar to “Internet A.D.D.” but I think it’s more of a personality trait. People have become very accustomed and comfortable with today’s “fast food environment”. No, I’m not talking about eating – I’m talking about the “I want it now and I don’t to work too hard to get it” attitudes that we all seem to have developed. As a result, when it comes to let’s say the task of creating or acquiring content for your websites, most people will either (a) procrastinate and never do it, or (b) do it half-ass using every possible shortcut they can find.
    -
  3. Overwhelmed and Confused – Have you heard the expression “When the student is ready, the teacher will appear”?“When the student is ready, the teacher will appear” Well, when it comes to making money on the Internet, the teacher usually appears asking you for more money for the “really good instructions”. Or in a lot of cases, the teacher will simply give you a bunch of links to PDFs, videos, and a forum and say “Here ya go…figure it out.” That’s not exactly my definition of a good teacher. Personally, I’ve found only a couple of good teachers and how-to programs.

Now, in all fairness, I will admit the four “simple” steps mentioned at the beginning of this post have several sub-components. But that doesn’t make them hard, difficult, impossible to complete steps.

Speaking of something being “hard to do”, I find it kind of humorous when people say something like “creating content for my website is hard work”. Really? Have you ever had a job loading a trailer or a boxcar with seven foot long, 100 lb boxes in the middle of summer? I have and let me tell you – THAT is hard work. Figuring out something to write about for 30 minutes or an hour is NOT hard work in comparison. I guess it’s all about perspective.

Anyway, the reason I wrote this post is that I thought I would put my money where my mouth is, so to speak. Or maybe “put up or shut up” is more accurate. I’m thinking I will show you a couple of my sites so you can see how I went about creating a site that makes a bit of money. I can also show you a site or two that *should* be making money (in my opinion) but isn’t.

I was also thinking we could work together to create a site and see how it performs. If this sounds like something you’d be interested in, let me know by leaving a comment below.

That’s all for now. I shall return later with more details. Until then, remember:

I do certainly agree … I spend hours after work each day and all I am doing is reading about what other money-ideas I could buy, when I did not have time to read my last purchases yet (or watch the 16 videos).
I should have added content to my little website so that I might sooner monetize, then promote. etc etc
Yes I would have liked to see a link to one of your websites but I guess the ADD thing has got us all distracted?

    Hi Larry,

I hate to admit it but I probably have 4 or 5 purchases I haven’t looked at yet or tried to use. How pathetic is that?

You asked for a link to one of my websites. Believe it or not, one of my more successful sites is located at chickencoopsforsaleinfo.com. Of course, “successful” is a relative term and it certainly isn’t earning me $1 per day.

Yeah, there are a lot of distractions on the Internet that prevents most of us from making any “serious” money. I think the person who solves that little mystery will be very rich.

Thank you, Larry, for visiting the site and for leaving a comment. Good luck.

I just watched a video from Vito Glazers & Adrian Morrison touting a software product they call “Mass Traffic-X” (masstrafficx.com). It is supposed to speed up and streamline the affiliate selling process. I am brand new to the concept of affiliate sales and in the process of researching them I ran across your site, which I like. I am curious if you have ever heard of them, their software or their program. I think the purchase also includes coaching, etc….

    Thanks,
    Jeff A.

    Hi Jeff,

Thanks for visiting the site and for leaving your comment. No, I had not heard of Mass Traffic X until you posted your comment. After I saw your post, I visited the Warriors Forum and did a search on MassTrafficX and I found this thread:

Based on the comments in that thread, I don’t think I would bother handing over your hard earned money. Hope that helps and I wish you much success.
